Baby just left for outfield training. he called me before he left but my phone wasnt with me :( so he wont be able to contact me until wed or thurs i think. but it'll be alright. c'mon, im probably gonna study in aus so what's a few days man... :S
His family are probably gonna move to Australia next year cuz they've applied for permanent residence there :) so his huge new terrace would be empty except for darling and his granny. darling's mom told me to move in and i can keep and look after dogs of my own!! (cuz my mom doesnt like dogs). :) :) sounds like a plan...if im not moving to aussie anytime soon, that is. :)
Astrid left on sunday i think. i'll miss her like ALOT. oh well.. didnt go to spca today. had tuition in the afternoon and mommy prepared shark's fin cuz she didnt have to go yoga today. YUM YUM :) dad left for japan today again. :( but we're going to changi airport on saturday to pick him up, and visit dear simna :) been watching drive of life and dicey business on crunchy roll. love hongkong shows :) haha i have a new love of my life...DARREN..(erm a dog) heex.
he loves to sniff sniff sniff sniff sniff... and he has a SUPER CUTE NOSE :) :) he's unfriendly with strangers but super sweet to people he knows. like he loves cuddles and loads of love. :) :) taro the puppy loves affection too. and he loves sucking my finger to sleep. cute boy. i'm excited to go back tmr :) :) :) and there's the beautiful baby husky baxter who gets jealous when i hugged the miniature pinscher in the kennel beside him. :)

met lovelies at orchard on friday. :) but qiyuan could not make it cuz she was having a bad tummyache :( get well soon, dear. i met them after i had a gruelling, tiring tuition with TWO primary ones which ended off with me suggesting to tutor them separately. they were trying to do each other's work, talking non-stop and not taking me seriously. so voila, i have another two sessions of tuition. out of the four kids i'm currently teaching, two of them require me to speak in chinese all the time. and you know my chinese... -_-
so back to the story. me, jo, nalan and simna met first. we went to C****** for dinner which SUCKED big time. (precisely why i dont write the name down cuz i dont want to be sued for defamation) we were so pissed off with the manager and her working attitude, as well as the quality of food served. i don't know how they can survive in town. so we ate grudgingly and cheryl arrived. the bill came before we called for it. and the manager sulked at our table while we were discussing how to split the bill. the problem was, there wasnt even other people waiting for seats...
so then, it was movie marathon time...
We watched "L" movie and Ah Long Pte Ltd. But jo left halfway as it was her mom's birthday and she had to remind her mom to watch gong. -_- so it was just me, cheryl, simna and nalan. Our movie started at 1150 so we talked non stop at cine.
jo left at 1115 so she talked with us, and u can see her LV bag in the picture above. hahahaha. okok, i'll stop.
anw, we received these huge posters from some people on the street about the supergroup at zouk. dear cheryl was playing with it and the stupidest thing happened.

So yes, my dear cheryl had her two middle fingers stuck inside each side of the poster. she couldn't undo the poster cuz both her hands were stuck at each end. HAHAHA. i had to help her pull her left hand out but of course, not before taking a photo of it.
okok, i'll not be so mean. :P anyway, me and my honey (cheryl) shared one super large popcorn combo and couple seats!! :) :) (okok, i never sat couple seats with a girlfriend before, lol)
"L" movie was quite nice :) i like L. i think he's really cute in the show. as in silly kind of cute, not goodlooking kind of cute. lol. Ah Long was super silly. it didnt have a plot at all but oh well, it made me laugh a bit. haha. we hung around town at macs until 6 am then we went home.
Saturday:
In the morning i had tuition with the new tutee. it nearly gave me a heartattack. i repeated the word "hair" for fifty times. Really exactly fifty times. but it was alright i guess. the mom was really touched i bothered to help him patiently. :) so the heart pain and perserverance was worth it.
my tuition started at 10 am so i didnt get much sleep last night actually, about 1 hour sleep. but it did not deter me from meeting my baby. i picked him up at bedok interchange.(ya, i took the irritatingly long bus from bukit batok to bedok. it was a 2 hour long bus ride) i depleted my handphone's battery by listening to music cuz i desperately needed a source of entertainment but i forgot to bring my ipod and psp.
i was dead bored. when i finally reached, baby was already there. :) so we went to eat kfc and then went to town to walk abit. i saw this very nice shirt im gonna buy for him. it's eighty bucks but it really looks super nice :) :) in the evening, we took bus to night safari. i dont have any pictures taken cuz of my phone's low batt and i didnt bring my camera. so we went around and walked abit, took the tram bla bla. it was quite nice, the ambience is very much more exciting compared to the zoo. baby bought me a toy cheetah which costs 30 bucks and he paid for all my expenses today too. :) :)
After night safari, it was about 12 midnight. we went to the prata shop near my house and ate butter chicken curry, cheese prata, plain prata, kambing soup and rice :) yum yum :) then he sent me home at about 2. he waited for me to finish bathing and then tucked me to bed. he stayed till three, after i fell asleep :) sweet boy.

Most of the time, i love animals more than people. they understand you, they dont make you irritated or angry, and they really stay loyal to you. of course, they are less complicated than humans. None of all the backstabbing, namecalling shit. of course it hadn't happened to me yet (i mean the backstabbing and namecalling) but it happens all the time. and arguments arise all the time cuz people just cannot say how and what they feel in front of each other. Granted, it isn't very easy to go up to someone you dont like and call him bastard or call her bitch.
If i could, i might not have kids at all. if i do, i would make sure i wont spoil them. i have seen enough of spoilt kids who grow up to become spoilt teenagers and then spoilt bossy adults. of course nothing beats the high pitch screams of a spoilt kid. it grates my nerves. seriously, the kids nowadays are getting everything they want. And it's not about the getting everything they want that makes them spoilt. it's about them making mistakes and the parents covering up for them. if they cry because they made a mistake and refuse to admit, the parents coo to them and tell them "it's alright honey".
truth is, i've seen enough of that.
My mum was really strict with me and my sis while growing up. but she became lax after i learned to be independent. she's a great parent. and yes, im saying that i never cried as loudly or screamed like those kids.
so i love spending my mornings and afternoons at the shelter, seeking comfort in those lovely animals who although bark alot but never EVER are as irritatingly spoilt as some kids. i smile when i see them and laugh when they show their affection. ever heard of pet therapy? now, wonder why there isn't child therapy. because there is nothing therapeutic about a screaming and spoilt child. so i've said my bit. i dont hate kids. in fact, some are really lovable. but i dislike spoilt kids, spoilt teens and bossy adults. think about it.
back to the present. i talked on the phone with baby ytd night. then he told me something about someone....UGHHHHHHH. hahahahahahahah. i was so excited luh!! i immediately called simna and she was like "UGHHHHH" too!!! then we decided to tell the rest when the time comes. HAHA. so exciting!! someone in our group is growing up le!!!! :P okok, i have two tuition lessons later :) gtg.

Hello peeps :) just came back from spca. would be having tuition later at 730 pm :S haha im really tired. :) anyway, my baby surprised me that day under my block on saturday. he stuck sparklers into the ground to form a heart shape and a "V" shape. (my name, of course) and lit everything up :) :) he bought me my favourite fishballs from old chang kee and a small elmo cake :) we wanted to go to jewel box to have an expensive dinner but i felt like eating steamboat. so we went to eat steamboat. after that we watched ps. i love you. firstly, i felt that the book was much better. secondly, the girl's pretty. thirdly, i cried harder when i read the book haha. esp the last letter part. oh well, whatever. haha. my darling sent me home at 3 am and made sure i fell asleep before he left. although i can only spend one day a week with him, i feel really blessed he bothers to give the entire day to me :) and i should thank him for cabbing down straight after booking out to my house on friday, wanting to give me a surprise, not even changing or eating yet....but yet i was out and totally screwed up his surprise. really sorry darling.

ANYWAY, astrid is going home soon!! i met her owner, she seems really nice and sweet and i hope she'll give my sweetie lots of love :) :) today i was feeling a bit sad and i went to play with astrid. when i started sniffling, she stopped whatever she was doing and whined before coming over to lick my face and cuddle up to me. i'm gonna miss her loads. sigh, i should be feeling happy right? but somehow, im wishing i could adopt her instead :S there are many new puppies today :) and they're all very sweet puppies. today i walked four dogs, including my sweetie. they are all wonderful dogs to walk. it's hard to think why anyone would abandon them.

Today was xuan hui (aka shaun)'s last day at the spca before he leaves for melbourne for his vet studies. my dream course!!! :) so he was busy taking pictures throughout the day. he took pictures of jerry bathing the dogs and of jean. but of course who can forget, he took pictures with the love of my life!! ASTRID!!

that spurred me on to take photos with my beloved too! so with the help of his camera, i took a few photos with astrid. :)

Anyway, the best kind of love is the one given when unsought for :) today i received a bouquet of roses and a cute doggie from my darling who is in tekong. turns out he made a special effort to surprise me on valentine's day by pre-ordering. so sweet :) he even wrote a sweet sweet card to me and told me to name the dog he gave me "astrid". hahahaha :) so sweet :) thank you to all the lovelies who wished me happy vday. and happy bdae to dear goh liying! :)

Yar. haha. so now you know. haha, plus he's not the only lame and funny person. Christopher is always trying to wet the kennels i've dried and always trying to drench me with the hose. jane's really really nice. everyone there's really nice! :) oh well, except for that woman who pissed me off previously. and i cant go until my blood test results are out. cuz my dear family doc suspected i have some blood problems (low white blood cell count) or drug allergy cuz of the countless bruises all over me and constant bleeding at certain areas. he drew three tubes of blood when i was having a fever that day and there was some left in the long big syringe.. :( :(
Vanessa: Erm, doc?
Doctor: Yes?
Vanessa: Can you inject the remaining blood back into my body?
Doctor: Hahah, i dont think so...
Vanessa: Can i drink it then?
Doctor: Are you sure your brain is not hurting?
OKok, he didnt ask me that. he just laughed it off but i believed that was what he was secretly thinking. hahaha. he's a nice doctor! the best one yet!!
he gave me loads of antibiotics and preferred that i stayed away frm germs and stuff. :(

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR PEOPLE!!
We had our reunion dinner at Seafood Paradise one day before the actual day for reunion dinner so as to avoid the crowd. we drove for so so long before we found the place and i was told the restaurant is always booked full! Even my grandma was feeling car sick after the long ride. Fortunately, my sis and dad were great with maps. the food was okay except the wasabi prawns cuz i hated wasabi. hah. met most of the cousins and uncles.

CNY day one:
We visited 4 houses today, mostly in the north side like serangoon and bishan (auntie jenny, uncle david, uncle charlie). then we went to my maternal grandma's side to pick her up for dinner at the restaurant. :) we started off with auntie jenny's house. and i was delighted when i realised my cousin (gerald kor kor) was getting married at the end of the year and i was even more delighted when i found out another cousin (nicholas korkor) was getting married at the end of the year. shuang xi ling men :) oh yes, my maternal cousin (serene) is also getting married this year! Gerald korkor wanted to pose between two girls as a show of the end of his singlehood. LOL. so it was us! :)
Gerald: WHOA your phone 3.2 megapixels?
Van: uh ya but it's a design phone, not a camera phone. so you have to hold longer before the photo gets taken.

DAY2 of CNY:
We visited more houses today. namely my house in the morning (had to cook breakfast), then auntie helen's house, then first uncle's house, then auntie amy's house, then uncle richard's house for dinner. believe it or not, my dad has 11 brothers and sisters and my mom has 9.
After we cleared up our house, we went to auntie helen's house. Her granddaughter (aka my niece) was super mischievous. she kept pulling at my fingers, my hair and my earrings. then we had to send my grandma and her maid together with us to first uncle's house. so it was alr 6 people in a car. but the little girl wanted to tag along. so she sat on my lap during the journey and almost threw my ring out of the car. -_-. our mercedes isn't small but 7 people is more than enough. lol.
yeah but she's really cute. :)
Afterward, she calmed down when i lent her my psp and my sis lent her bro her psp. the two of them started playing psp in a corner. :)
yada yada. after dinner, my darling came all the way to boon lay to pick me up from under my uncle's block! :) so so sweet. then my dad sent us home where he stayed until i fell asleep. :)
Yesterday:
Yesterday morning we went to my maternal uncle's house to celebrate his birthday. there was a buffet too :) yup so after that, we came home and uncle edward and his family came. his youngest daughter, Melanie, dressed me up like a clown. she put my scarf and my spongebob balloon on my head, tgt with everything she found hang-able. lol. i looked like an idiot.

i got really irritated with this woman in the spca. you dont even interact with the dogs, you dont even know what's going on with the no entry signs. you dont know the characters of the dogs and u have been here longer than i have. everytime i see you, you're sitting at the corner. so you have no right to say anyone else, you have no right to talk like you're boss. you dont even understand or care for these dogs. you might as well dont volunteer at spca. there's a conversation you had...

mitchell the jack russell LOVES me giving him his belly rubs and he is so lovely and affectionate. he licks me all the time and he's always so happy :)
melody the beagle is always so happy to see people she jumps up and down non stop. she's so hyper and loving!!
astrid the siberian husky is like a mother. she has so much love to give when i hug this husky she always uses her rubbery tongue to lick my face :) :) and astrid is gorgeous with a brown eye and a blue eye.
didi the puppy craves attention so much when you walk past his cage without squatting there and talking to him, he starts whining. and he's so super cute.
all of them make me feel so happy. they are really amazing i feel angry at the people who ever thought of abandoning them. they have so so much love to give and sometimes i feel sad when i have to go home. sometimes i just feel like staying there forever and giving them the attention and love they so badly need. the huskies, the retrievers, the labradors, the cross breeds...i feel upset that people would think of keeping pets and then abandoning them. actually my house is okay for keeping huskies and big dogs cuz there's at least a garden for them to run around. most of the dogs are not hdb approved cuz they're too big. but there are little ones like mitchell and melody. jack russells and pomeranians. my mom doesnt like dogs so i cant keep them. but if you out there can give them some love, attention and affection, do adopt one k?? :)
of course there are kittens and cats too. beautiful black kittens with gorgeous blue eyes. tabbies. there are lots of kinds of cats and kittens. so even if you dont wanna adopt, you can just come down and give them a pat or two to make them feel loved.
anyway, kt's mom called me that day and we talked over the phone for a bit :) haha and my dear bf gave me his atm card before he left for camp that day :) sweet boy. but im not gonna use it larr :P.
im most probably going back to the shelter tmr. im dying to see those precious babies. although i feel sad when they get adopted cuz i wont see them again. but im really really glad when they find new homes. :)
